China-Myanmar Power Cooperation｜Xiangyue Power Completes Test Tower for Myanmar Transmission Tower Project

On December 19, China-Myanmar power cooperation achieved another milestone—the Myanmar transmission tower project undertaken by Xiangyue Power successfully completed its test tower phase, marking a critical advancement in this cross-border energy infrastructure initiative. Both the straight tower and guyed tower prototypes underwent rigorous quality inspections, laying a solid foundation for subsequent large-scale production and delivery.

Tailored Design Overcomes Terrain Challenges
Myanmar's complex topography—featuring intertwined mountainous and flat regions with high wind speeds in certain areas—imposes stringent demands on tower structural stability and wind resistance. Through multiple field surveys and client consultations, Xiangyue Power's business team developed two tailored tower solutions based on Myanmar's climate, geological conditions, and grid planning requirements:

• Straight Towers: Optimized for plains and low-wind-speed areas, featuring structural enhancements that reduce material costs while maintaining load-bearing capacity;
• Tension towers: Designed for complex terrains like mountains and river valleys, these enhance structural rigidity and wind pressure resistance to ensure stability during extreme weather.
  “We go beyond standard products by prioritizing tailored solutions for each location based on client needs,” stated the Xiangyue Power project lead. The design team validated tower structures through 3D modeling and wind tunnel simulations, with the final proposal receiving high recognition from Myanmar authorities

Successful Test Tower: Quality Control Safeguards Delivery Schedule
The test tower evaluation covered critical metrics including material strength, welding techniques, and corrosion resistance. Results demonstrated that all tower parameters exceeded industry standards. This achievement not only validates Xiangyue Power's technical prowess in high-end tower manufacturing but also provides reliable data support for subsequent mass production.
“The test tower is a critical step in transitioning the project from design to implementation. Its success gives us full confidence in meeting the delivery timeline,” said the production manager of Xiangyue Electric. The production line is now operating at full capacity, with the first batch of towers scheduled to ship to Myanmar in the first quarter of 2025 for local power grid upgrade projects.
